Continuous self-improvement is one of the foundations of success. If you are to succeed in your career and your life, you need to make this one of your primary beliefs. Success is about becoming a better person. Humanity has progressed, and we have become the dominant species because we can improve ourselves.

First, think of yourself, as a product:  Thats right!  View yourself as a competitive product¦a product with features, benefits, assets and liabilities “ all waiting to be improved year-on-year, carefully differentiating yourself from others and marketing your assets.  Companies spend time every year listening to their customers’ needs and then they work on upgrading and trying to improve their products so they can sell more in the marketplace.  This is the same process women should follow to improve themselves each year.

Ask For Greater Responsibility: You can accept 100% responsibility for everything you are and everything you become. You can refuse to make excuses or to blame others. You can tell your boss that you want greater responsibilities and then when you get them, put your whole heart into doing an excellent job.

Continuously Improve Yourself

Improve a Little at a Time: If you become one tenth of one percent more productive each day, that amounts to one half of one percent more productive each week. One half of one percent more productive each week amounts to two percent more productive each month and 26% more productive each year.

Have goals and targets for improvement: Once we identify the areas that we need to improve, we need to have goals in place. Otherwise, we would not know how we have improved. I know it can be difficult to think of goals for certain things in life. For example, if you are trying to improve your outlook on your interactions with friends, there is nothing you can measure.

Lacking discipline: Even if focus and structure are present, mechanisms for measurement of performance, for the control of standards, as well as appreciation and esteem are not applied.
